In Blood-C, the new incarnation of the heroine is Saya Kisaragi, a kind, pretty student. Her home life is a little out of the ordinary, as Saya comes from a priestly family and trains as a miko, or shrine maiden. Her secret life is far out of the ordinary, as she makes it her duty to slay by the sword the furukimono, ancient monsters that prey upon her town. Or did she make it her duty...and is she really protecting her town...? Artist Ranmaru Kotone adapts the concepts of CLAMP's Nanase Ohkawa into something dark and lovely in Blood-C!
